Dr Alison Lewis

Alison Lewis is a British osteopath and grew up Kent, south east England, before moving to London where she graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Osteopathy, from one of London's most reputable Osteopathic universities. 

 

Following back surgery in her youth, Alison experienced first hand the benefits of osteopathy, and subsequently pursued it as a career.  Prior to moving to Australia Alison has over 13 years clinical experience working with many highly experienced and renowned professionals in the UK. She has completed post graduate studies in treating tendinopathies, advanced dry needling, paediatric developmental milestones and primitive reflexes, treating pregnancy and paediatrics. She is committed to developing her knowledge base and staying up to date with research.

 

Alison has a passion to encourage patients to play a part in their recovery and take ownership of their health. Her treatment approach continuously refers back to traditional osteopathic principles that ‘everything is connected’ and she sees good results in treating common everyday injuries.  Since becoming a mum she is passionate about the benefits of osteopathy for the pregnant patient, post natal pelvic girdle pain and paediatrics, working with latch, feeding, reflux and birth trauma.

 

Alison moved to Australia in 2012 and shortly thereafter opened Milton Osteopathic Clinic, which she now runs together with fellow Osteopath Craig. Outside of work she enjoys family time with her husband and two sons, travel, art, running and the ocean.
